An epic tale of betrayal, resilience, and unbending integrity set against the historical backdrop of a changing Haiti.

From the historical fishing shores of Cap-Haitian to the chaotic, sun-baked streets of Port-au-Prince, Samuel grows up surrounded by poverty, yet grounded by an unwavering moral code. In a world where corruption opens doors and compromise buys safety, Samuel chooses integrity. But his steadfast honesty earns him the hatred of a powerful and ruthless boat captain.

As the nation explodes into political turmoil with the fall of the Duvalier regime, violence and retribution consume those around Samuel. While others seek violent revenge against their oppressors, Samuel wrestles with deeper questions of justice, suffering, and the unseen hand of God guiding his steps.
